The Kentucky Bar Foundation (KBF) was honored at Safe Harbor of Northeast Kentucky's annual Cornerstone Luncheon for its continued support of domestic violence services in eastern Kentucky.
The Kentucky Bar Foundation (KBF) announced today that it has received 47 grant applications for its 2025 grant funding cycle. This robust response (24% increase from 2024) demonstrates the continuing need for legal aid and justice initiatives throughout the Commonwealth.

Since 1988, the KBF has awarded grants totaling over $300,000 to provide scholarships that assist and encourage students attending Kentucky law schools and provide opportunities to enrich their education.
Since 2011, the Kentucky Bar Foundation has awarded grants totaling $115,000 to Kentucky agencies that provide legal services and counseling to veterans. Those grants have helped veterans like "John" who was struggling after returning home from war.
In 2015, the Kentucky Bar Foundation proudly awarded a grant of $20,000 to the Kentucky Association of Sexual Assault Programs statewide for the production of “Seeking Justice for Victims of Human Trafficking: A Practice Guide & Training Series for Attorneys.”
A 2015 KBF grant helped the Kentucky Association of Children’s Advocacy Centers create Your Guide to Kentucky’s Children’s Advocacy Centers, a training resource equipping CACs statewide to better serve Kentucky children and families.
KBF grants supported the creation of the Senator John Brown Library & Archives as part of Liberty Hall’s historic restoration.
Through KBF grant support, Kentucky CASA programs have trained more volunteers and expanded services for vulnerable children.
Since 2004, the KBF has awarded grants totaling $35,000 to support Family & Children's Place. Those grants help transform lives like Katya's, who came to F&CP as a means to healing, but now, years later, is working with the agency to help heal others.

Kentucky IOLTA Fund Awards 2015 Grants
The Kentucky IOLTA Fund is proud to announce that it awarded a total of $1,063,260.54 in law-related grants during the 2015-16 fiscal year. The Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (“IOLTA”) Fund was established in 1986 by the Kentucky Supreme Court through SCR 3.830.
